Size 5ml

Fragrance Material | Pure Aroma Molecule

Relatively niche aroma chemical that is vetiver refined. A semi-synthetic ester derived from vetiver oil that carries the essential character of its source while trading raw complexity for smoothness, consistency, and exceptional tenacity. It is a base note material of genuine depth, at home in fine fragrance, chypre, and woody oriental compositions.

Where natural vetiver oil is dense, faceted, and sometimes medicinal, Vetiveryl Acetate is cleaner and more restrained: dry and woody with a faint grapefruit-like freshness and a soft smokiness underneath. It grounds a composition without dominating it, lending a polished, modern vetiver character that sits well beneath florals, ambers, and woods. Longevity is one of its defining traits; it fixes and anchors the materials around it, holding a fragrance in place long after the top notes have gone.

Vetiveryl Acetate works primarily as a base note and fixative.

Recommended concentration: 0.1–20% in the finished formulation.

Particularly effective in:
Chypre, fougère, and woody oriental structures
Contemporary base builds alongside woody musks and ambers
Any composition needing a dry, rooty anchor without the full density of natural vetiver oil

Blends well with:
Woody musks like Vertofix Coeur or Iso E Super
Vetiver oil itself, for a fuller and more faceted vetiver accord

Suitable for non-perfumery applications such as candles and home fragrance where a warm woody depth is desired (within IFRA limits, see CAS number below)

It reinforces structure and gives weight to the base of a composition.
