The Parfum Apothecary specialises in fragrance materials used in fragrance blending (perfume, cosmetics, incense), including essential oils, absolutes, resins, aroma molecules, accords and tinctures. Alongside materials, a small range of finished perfumes and educational resources is also offered.

The focus is on providing high-quality materials in small quantities, suitable for learning, experimentation and independent practice.

Products are suitable for professional and independent perfumers, aromatherapists, costmetic formulators, hobbyists, students, incense makers, artists and anyone interested in working more closely with scent.

No formal training is required. Many materials are used by beginners as well as experienced makers, and educational resources are provided to support learning at different stages.

No. While many materials are used in professional perfumery, they are also appropriate for careful experimentation and study.

If you are new to working with fragrance materials, starting with small quantities, kits or foundational materials is recommended.

The range includes both natural materials (such as essential oils, absolutes and resins) and synthetic aroma molecules or accords.

Both are standard in perfumery and incense work. Each product page clearly states the nature of the material being offered.

Some materials are supplied neat, while others are diluted, tinctured or pre-blended for ease of use, stability or safety. This information is always stated on the product page.

All materials are intended as working ingredients and may be further diluted depending on your application.
