Pure Essential Oil | Coriandrum sativum

Coriander Essential Oil is a steam-distilled essential oil obtained from the seeds of Coriandrum sativum, used to introduce warm, spicy freshness with soft citrus and woody undertones. It bridges spice and aromatic citrus, adding lift and smoothness to a wide range of compositions.

Coriander Essential Oil presents a soft, spicy-aromatic profile with fresh citrus brightness, gentle sweetness, and a lightly woody drydown. Compared to sharper spices, it feels rounded and clean, with a subtle floral nuance that keeps it elegant and versatile. It adds warmth without heaviness and freshness without sharpness.

Coriander functions primarily as a top-to-heart note, contributing freshness and aromatic structure.

Recommended concentration: 0.1–7%

Particularly effective in:
Citrus-spice and aromatic compositions
Woody florals and modern colognes

Blends well with:
Citrus notes (bergamot, lemon, orange)
Aromatics (lavender, basil, clary sage)
Woods (cedarwood, sandalwood)
Soft resins and musks

Suitable for non-perfumery applications including soaps, candles, body products, and home fragrance

The first rule of perfumery: never work neat.

Every professional perfumer works in dilution. It's not a beginner shortcut, it's the correct way to evaluate and blend aromatic materials. At full concentration, materials smell harsh, inaccurate, and often overwhelming. You're not smelling the material, you're smelling too much of it.

When you dilute a 5ml aromatic material to a 10% solution, you extend it to 50ml of working stock. That's five times the material to experiment with, evaluate, and blend, without wasting a drop of something precious and expensive.

For powder materials like ambroxan, calone, and vanillin, dilution isn't optional, it's essential. Powders need to be fully dissolved in ethanol before they can be accurately measured, evaluated, or incorporated into a formula. Without this step, you simply can't work with them properly.

This bundle gives you everything you need to start working correctly from the first session.
