Pure Essential Oil | Citrus paradisi

Bright, crisp, and immediately uplifting, Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil is one of the most reliably cheerful materials in the citrus palette. Cold pressed from the peel of Citrus paradisi, sourced from South America, it delivers the clean, zesty character of fresh-cut pink grapefruit in a highly versatile oil that blends easily, performs well across a wide range of applications, and rarely puts a foot wrong. The “pink” designation refers to the cultivar rather than the oil’s colour, which is pale yellow to golden, and reflects a slightly sweeter, rounder character compared to white grapefruit.

Crisp and clean on the opening, with a sparkling brightness that is unmistakably grapefruit. The sweetness of the pink variety gives it a little more warmth and roundness than white grapefruit oil, without losing any of the fresh, tart energy that makes citrus oils so useful at the top of a composition. There is a faint resinous, green quality underneath from the myrcene content, which adds just enough complexity to keep it from reading as flat. As with all cold-pressed citrus oils it is a true top note, fleeting but vivid, and it earns its place in a formula by what it does in the first thirty seconds on skin or a blotter.

Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil works as a top note brightener, fresh citrus modifier, and versatile blending material.

Recommended concentration: 1-2% in finished formulations; follow IFRA and relevant cosmetic guidelines for leave-on skin applications.

Particularly effective in:

Fresh citrus colognes, eaux de toilette, and body sprays
Uplifting and energising aromatherapy and diffuser blends
Skincare and personal care formulations including soaps, lotions, and body oils
Shampoos, conditioners, and hair serums where a fresh, clean top note is needed
Exfoliating scrubs and bath products
Candles and home fragrance where a bright, natural citrus character is desired

Blends well with:

Citrus: bergamot, lemon, mandarin, lime, yuzu, clementine
Florals: neroli, orange blossom, ylang ylang
Herbs: rosemary, mint, basil
Woods: cedarwood, juniper berry
Light musks and clean ambers as a base contrast

Suitable for non-perfumery applications including candles, home fragrance, and personal care products (within IFRA limits). Cold-pressed grapefruit oil carries photosensitising potential; avoid applying to skin exposed to direct sunlight or UV, and confirm from batch documentation before use in leave-on applications.
