Smell each material on a blotter strip and give it time. Several of these molecules behave differently at distance than they do up close, and some will reveal their character only after five or ten minutes of development.
Work in this order: Dihydromyrcenol and Calone first (the lightest, most diffusive), then Anisaldehyde and Alpha Isomethyl Ionone, then Iso E Super and Galaxolide, and Ambroxide last.

Try simple experiments:

Blend Dihydromyrcenol and Calone in equal parts. This is the core of the aquatic genre that defined the 1990s
Add a drop of Galaxolide to any blend to observe how a synthetic musk functions as a fixative and skin-layer

Combine Iso E Super and Ambroxide in small amounts. This woody-amber combination appears in some form in a significant proportion of modern masculine fragrances.

Add Anisaldehyde to Alpha Isomethyl Ionone and observe how a sharp, anisic floral and a soft powdery violet interact

Try Calone at 1% in a citrus blend and note how a single molecule shifts the entire character toward something marine and ozonic.

Ambroxide is supplied at 10% in a carrier due to its solid state at room temperature in neat form. Galaxolide is supplied at 50% in isopropyl myristate. Calone is supplied at 1% given its exceptional potency. All other materials are supplied neat. Follow IFRA guidelines when formulating finished products. For external use only. Avoid direct skin application without further dilution. Store away from heat and direct light.
