Pure Extract | Pogostemon cablin

Vanilla 5-Fold Extract is a highly concentrated vanilla extract produced by solvent extraction of cured vanilla beans, concentrated to five times the strength of standard extract. It delivers a dense, authentic vanilla aroma with rich warmth and depth suited to fine fragrance and artisan formulations.

Vanilla 5-Fold Extract presents a deep, natural vanilla profile with smooth sweetness, subtle woody undertones, and faint balsamic warmth. Compared to standard extract, it is fuller, darker, and more persistent. The aroma feels rounded and realistic rather than sharply sweet, with a soft, resinous body that develops over time.

Vanilla 5-Fold Extract functions primarily as a base note, adding warmth, sweetness, and longevity.

Recommended concentration: 0.2–5%

Particularly effective in:
Gourmands, amber compositions, floral ambers, soft orientals

Blends well with:
Tonka, benzoin, and balsamic resins
Woods such as sandalwood and cedarwood
Spices including nutmeg and cinnamon
Florals such as jasmine and heliotrope

Suitable for non-perfumery applications such as candles and home fragrance (within IFRA limits)

Because of its concentration, small amounts provide noticeable richness.

The first rule of perfumery: never work neat.

Every professional perfumer works in dilution. It's not a beginner shortcut, it's the correct way to evaluate and blend aromatic materials. At full concentration, materials smell harsh, inaccurate, and often overwhelming. You're not smelling the material, you're smelling too much of it.

When you dilute a 5ml aromatic material to a 10% solution, you extend it to 50ml of working stock. That's five times the material to experiment with, evaluate, and blend, without wasting a drop of something precious and expensive.

For powder materials like ambroxan, calone, and vanillin, dilution isn't optional, it's essential. Powders need to be fully dissolved in ethanol before they can be accurately measured, evaluated, or incorporated into a formula. Without this step, you simply can't work with them properly.

This bundle gives you everything you need to start working correctly from the first session.
