Pure Essential Oil | Boswellia Carterii

Frankincense Olibanum Essential Oil is a steam-distilled essential oil obtained from the resin of Boswellia carterii. Used widely in perfumery, incense, and aromatic compositions, it offers a bright resinous clarity balanced by soft citrus and balsamic depth.

Frankincense Carterii presents a fresh-resinous profile with lemony brightness, gentle spice, and a smooth balsamic undertone. Compared to heavier frankincense types, it feels cleaner and more lifted, with an airy transparency that evolves into a calm, slightly woody resin. The overall effect is grounding without heaviness, making it highly versatile.

rankincense Carterii functions primarily as a top-to-base note, bridging freshness and depth.

Recommended concentration: 1–7%

Particularly effective in:
Incense compositions, woody ambers, aromatic and spiritual-style perfumes

The first rule of perfumery: never work neat.

Every professional perfumer works in dilution. It's not a beginner shortcut, it's the correct way to evaluate and blend aromatic materials. At full concentration, materials smell harsh, inaccurate, and often overwhelming. You're not smelling the material, you're smelling too much of it.

When you dilute a 5ml aromatic material to a 10% solution, you extend it to 50ml of working stock. That's five times the material to experiment with, evaluate, and blend, without wasting a drop of something precious and expensive.

For powder materials like ambroxan, calone, and vanillin, dilution isn't optional, it's essential. Powders need to be fully dissolved in ethanol before they can be accurately measured, evaluated, or incorporated into a formula. Without this step, you simply can't work with them properly.
