Size 10ml

Fragrance Material | 100% Pure Essential Oil

Bright, sparkling, and effortlessly elegant, Bergamot Essential Oil is the signature citrus of fine perfumery. Fresh yet softly floral, it brings lift, clarity, and refinement to compositions — a timeless top note that feels both classical and modern.

Bergamot opens with a luminous citrus freshness, balanced by gentle floral and lightly bitter nuances. Less sharp than lemon and more refined than orange, it carries an airy sweetness with subtle green and aromatic undertones. The result is crisp yet smooth, offering freshness without aggression and elegance without heaviness.

Bergamot functions primarily as a top note, providing sparkle and immediate appeal while helping to unify more complex structures beneath.

Recommended concentration: <25%

Blends beautifully with:
Florals (rose, jasmine, neroli, lavender)

The first rule of perfumery: never work neat.

Every professional perfumer works in dilution. It's not a beginner shortcut, it's the correct way to evaluate and blend aromatic materials. At full concentration, materials smell harsh, inaccurate, and often overwhelming. You're not smelling the material, you're smelling too much of it.

When you dilute a 5ml aromatic material to a 10% solution, you extend it to 50ml of working stock. That's five times the material to experiment with, evaluate, and blend, without wasting a drop of something precious and expensive.

For powder materials like ambroxan, calone, and vanillin, dilution isn't optional, it's essential. Powders need to be fully dissolved in ethanol before they can be accurately measured, evaluated, or incorporated into a formula. Without this step, you simply can't work with them properly.

This bundle gives you everything you need to start working correctly from the first session.
