Fragrance Material | Absolute

Lush, radiant, and unmistakably sensual, Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute is one of perfumery’s most revered floral materials. Opulent yet balanced, it captures the intoxicating warmth of jasmine in full bloom.

Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute reveals a complex floral profile layered with creamy sweetness, soft fruit, and subtle green undertones. Compared to jasmine sambac, it is rounder and more honeyed, with gentle animalic nuances that give it depth and warmth without heaviness. The aroma is elegant and diffusive, unfolding slowly on skin with a natural, living quality.

Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute functions primarily as a heart note, anchoring floral compositions with richness and sensuality.

Recommended concentration:
Fine fragrance: 0.05–0.5% (highly potent)
Blends beautifully with:
Rose (Damask or Centifolia)
Citrus notes (bergamot, neroli)
Woods (sandalwood, cedarwood)
Soft musks and animalic modifiers

Suitable for non-perfumery applications such as luxury skincare, balms, creams, soaps, and body oils when properly diluted

Used judiciously, it imparts depth, elegance, and unmistakable floral intensity.

The first rule of perfumery: never work neat.

Every professional perfumer works in dilution. It's not a beginner shortcut, it's the correct way to evaluate and blend aromatic materials. At full concentration, materials smell harsh, inaccurate, and often overwhelming. You're not smelling the material, you're smelling too much of it.

When you dilute a 5ml aromatic material to a 10% solution, you extend it to 50ml of working stock. That's five times the material to experiment with, evaluate, and blend, without wasting a drop of something precious and expensive.

For powder materials like ambroxan, calone, and vanillin, dilution isn't optional, it's essential. Powders need to be fully dissolved in ethanol before they can be accurately measured, evaluated, or incorporated into a formula. Without this step, you simply can't work with them properly.

This bundle gives you everything you need to start working correctly from the first session.
