How to Scent Your Unscented Incense Sticks
Step 1: Prepare Your Scent Blend

Mix:
3 parts Fragrance Oil or Essential Oil
1 part Di Propylene Glycol (DPG)
Shake thoroughly to combine.

Example batch size:
Mix 30mL fragrance oil with 10mL DPG. This is sufficient to scent approximately 40 incense sticks.

Pour the mixture into a spray bottle or squirt bottle for easy application.

Step 2: Apply the Scent

Option A – Spray Method

~ Lay the incense sticks flat.
~ Spray evenly along one side.
~ Turn over and spray the other side.
~ Repeat light applications until the sticks are evenly coated.

Option B – Bag Method (More Efficient)

~ Place sticks into a plastic bag (approx. 30 x 20cm).
~ Squirt a small amount of the scent mixture onto the sticks.
~ Gently massage and roll the sticks through the plastic to distribute the liquid evenly.
~ Continue adding small amounts as needed until fully coated.
~ Avoid oversaturating. Sticks should be coated but not dripping.

Step 3: Cure & Dry

Seal the bag and allow the incense sticks to sit for 24 hours to fully absorb the fragrance blend.

After curing, remove the sticks and lay them out in a well-ventilated area to dry for 24–48 hours, or until completely dry to the touch before burning.
