Pure Essential Oil | Citrus junos

Bright and tart, Yuzu Essential Oil is one of the most distinctive citrus materials. It's familiar enough to read immediately as citrus, yet complex enough to stand apart from lemon, grapefruit, or bergamot. This batch I personally sourced in South Korea, where the fruit is called Yuja and has been cultivated for centuries along the southern coastal provinces. A top note of genuine character and surprising tenacity for a citrus oil.

Yuzu opens with a sharp, zesty burst. Grapefruit and mandarin are the clearest reference points, but there is also a subtle green-herbal edge, a faint floral undertone from its natural linalool content, and a powdery softness underneath that gives it more staying power than most citruses. It is bright without being shrill, and fresh without being flat.

Yuzu Essential Oil is used primarily as a top note, with notable longevity relative to other citrus materials.

Recommended concentration: 1–15% in the finished formulation.

Particularly effective in:
Fresh eaux de toilette, colognes, and aquatic compositions
Minimalist fragrance structures
Citrus-forward openings that need complexity
Uplifting diffuser and aromatherapy blends

Blends well with:
Citrus
Florals like neroli, orange blossom, jasmine
Green and herbal notes like violet leaf, galbanum, basil
Woods like hinoki, cedarwood, sandalwood
Light musks and clean ambers as a base contrast

Suitable for non-perfumery applications including candles, home fragrance, and personal care products where a fresh, zesty citrus character is desired.
