White Musk, or Jamid (Arabic: جميد, literally "hardened"), is a solid waxy or resinous product used in Jordan and the Middle East as a solid perfume. It is often made of a blend of natural and synthetic ingredients. Crumbs are broken off the material, warmed by fingers then rubbed onto the skin to perfume the body of both men and women. Jamid is even placed in linen cupboards, suitcases and cars.
