Hedione® is a single aroma chemical used to bring natural, expansive jasmine radiance to perfume compositions. It delivers freshness, lift, and persistence while remaining light and transparent, making it one of the most effective tools for opening and diffusing floral structures.

Hedione® presents a fresh, natural jasmine profile with softly oily floral facets, gentle sweetness, and a clean green lift. The aroma feels airy yet substantial, with a subtle fruity undertone that closely resembles living jasmine flowers rather than dense floral absolutes. Its defining quality is radiance: it creates space, brightness, and movement while remaining elegant and unobtrusive.

Hedione® functions as a heart note and floral expander, increasing diffusion, freshness, and longevity.

Recommended concentration: 1–50% (extremely flexible; effective across a wide range)

Particularly effective in:
Jasmine compositions, white florals, floral ambers, modern transparent perfumes

Blends exceptionally well with:
Jasmine bases and absolutes
Rose, tuberose, orange blossom, and ylang ylang
Citrus top notes for lift and clarity
Woody ambers and musks to extend diffusion

Suitable for non-perfumery applications such as candles and home fragrance where a radiant floral effect is desired (within IFRA limits)

It is especially useful for making florals feel more natural, more spacious, and longer-lasting without adding weight.

The first rule of perfumery: never work neat.

Every professional perfumer works in dilution. It's not a beginner shortcut, it's the correct way to evaluate and blend aromatic materials. At full concentration, materials smell harsh, inaccurate, and often overwhelming. You're not smelling the material, you're smelling too much of it.

When you dilute a 5ml aromatic material to a 10% solution, you extend it to 50ml of working stock. That's five times the material to experiment with, evaluate, and blend, without wasting a drop of something precious and expensive.

For powder materials like ambroxan, calone, and vanillin, dilution isn't optional, it's essential. Powders need to be fully dissolved in ethanol before they can be accurately measured, evaluated, or incorporated into a formula. Without this step, you simply can't work with them properly.

This bundle gives you everything you need to start working correctly from the first session.
