Classic Notes Perfume Kit

$210.00

Sixteen fragrance notes, two empty bottles, and everything needed to blend a personal perfume from scratch. The Classic Notes Kit is an introduction to the craft of perfumery. Designed to be approachable for a complete beginner, and genuinely interesting for anyone who has always been curious about how fragrance actually works.

The notes inside span the four major fragrance families - fresh, floral, oriental, and woody - giving a real working palette rather than a curated shortlist. The included booklet walks through the perfume pyramid, fragrance families, and a step-by-step blending method, with composition sheets to record formulas and space to name and date each creation.

This makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves fragrance, a meaningful creative project for a weekend, or a first step into a craft that tends to stick.

Fragrance notes: 16 x 5ml, pre-diluted and ready to blend.

Head notes: Bergamot, Citrus Blossom, Bitter Orange, Petitgrain, Lavender

Heart notes: Mimosa, Rose Petal, Jasmine, Cedarwood, Ylang Ylang, Violet

Base notes: Amber, Leather, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Chypre

Tools and equipment:

2 x 5ml pipettes
1 x glass beaker
2 x 15ml roller-ball perfume bottles with gold caps
16 x scent strips (mouillettes)
2 x blank adhesive labels
1 x illustrated instruction booklet with perfume pyramid, fragrance family wheel, worked example, and two composition sheets

The kit makes two complete 15ml perfumes, with enough material to experiment further if used carefully.

Start by smelling each note on a scent strip. Get to know what you're working with. The booklet groups every note by its position in the perfume pyramid (head, heart, or base) and its fragrance family, which helps narrow down combinations before committing to a formula.

When ready to blend, select 3–5 notes: typically 1–2 head notes, 1–2 heart notes, and 1 base note. A simple starting ratio is 30% head, 50% heart, 20% base. Use the beaker and pipettes to measure by millilitres or count drops directly from the dropper caps. Both methods are covered in the booklet. Once the blend reaches 15ml in the beaker, transfer it to a roller bottle using a pipette, cap it, and let it rest for at least 24–48 hours before wearing. The notes meld and soften with time; a week makes a noticeable difference.

All fragrance notes are pre-diluted and formulated for skin application via roller-ball.
For external use only. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
Some notes may cause skin irritation or allergic reaction in sensitive individuals. If in doubt, test on a small area of skin before wider use.
Store bottles tightly closed in a cool, dark place.
